Jacobs Supports STEM Event Hosted by U.S. Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson

The Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) held its 25th Annual Science and Technology Braintrust in Washington, D.C. last week. U.S. Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson, ranking member on the Science, Space and Technology Committee and former chair of the CBC, hosted the event with the theme, "Glancing Towards the Future: To Technology and Beyond.” Schoolchildren from Dallas and Washington, DC, were invited to attend the event to learn from top science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) professionals from around the country. 

Jacobs Aerospace and Technology Engineering Specialist, Ayana Reese, was invited to speak on the "Unfolding the Galaxy” panel.  Reese has supported the Jacobs ESSSA contract at Marshall Space Flight Center since 2008. 

“It was enlightening to see the excitement and interest these children had during the event,” said Congresswoman Johnson.  “It makes me incredibly hopeful for the future of our nation. We must continue to push and empower our minority children to learn about their opportunities in STEM fields. Thanks to our awesome panelists for providing such great insight and encouragement.”
