Jacobs Receives Contract from Viru Keemia Grupp

Supporting Estonia’s Largest Manufacturer of Shale Oil and Chemicals

PASADENA, Calif. -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Nov. 27, 2012 -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today it received a contract from Viru Keemia Grupp AS (VKG) to provide a license package and services for a sulfur recovery unit (SRU). The SRU is part of VKG’s investment to upgrade its shale oil refinery complex in Kothla-Jarve, Estonia.

Officials did not disclose the contract value, however noted the services are being provided from Jacobs’ Leiden office in The Netherlands.

Under the terms of the contract, Jacobs is licensing its proprietary EUROCLAUS® technology to VKG; and is also providing the basic design package, training, start up and commissioning assistance services for the new SRU.
