Jacobs has been recognized by Environmental Business International (EBI) with six business achievement awards in 2021 for leadership and outstanding performance in sustainable business practices, greenhouse gas (GHG) mitigation, climate change adaptation and resilience, climate technology, climate response and sustainability consulting, and the company's STEAM education program.

Jacobs was selected by PUB, Singapore's National Water Agency, to design and supervise construction and commissioning of the Changi NEWater Factory 3 (CNF3), the third NEWater plant to be located at the Changi Water Reclamation Plant (WRP) and one of the world's largest and most advanced water reclamation plants.

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. has been awarded a contract by Invex Infraestructura 4, S.A.P.I. de C.V. (INI4) for a greenfield fuel storage and distribution terminal in Tula Hidalgo, Mexico. Under the terms of the contract, Jacobs is expected to perform engineering services and support INI4 with regulation compliance and safe and efficient execution. The engineering phase will provide the basis for construction and operation of the strategic terminal.

Jacobs was selected alongside General Electric and Westinghouse Electric Company LLC to support preliminary phase life extension work at the Sizewell B nuclear power station in Suffolk, United Kingdom.

Jacobs was appointed by PUB, Singapore's National Water Agency, to provide professional engineering services for the development of the new greasy waste (GWTF) and food waste treatment facilities (FWTF) to maximize energy and resource recovery at the Changi Water Reclamation Plant (CWRP).

Jacobs signed a new three-year agreement with Intelinair for agriculture technology (AgTech) markets beginning in 2022 and extending through 2024.

Jacobs was selected by Empire Offshore Wind, a joint venture between Equinor and bp, for the detail design of New York's South Brooklyn Marine Terminal (SBMT). The facility, located in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, will serve as an operations and maintenance base and staging and assembly port for wind turbine installation. SBMT will support the Empire Wind and Beacon Wind offshore wind farms in development off the coast of Long Island, New York. Once completed, the projects will reduce carbon emissions while providing clean energy to more than two million New York homes.

The Jacobs team supported NASA rolling out the Artemis I rocket from the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) to Launch Pad 39B at NASA's Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in preparation of final prelaunch tests of the Space Launch System (SLS). Artemis I, a flight test of the most powerful rocket NASA has ever built, will be the first mission in NASA's new deep space human exploration program, which aims to land the first woman and the first person of color on the moon and establish sustainable exploration in preparation for missions to Mars.

Jacobs was selected by the City of North Bay, Ontario, for environmental assessment activities, development of a remedial design, and engineering consulting services related to per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) cleanup at the North Bay Jack Garland Airport.

Jacobs was selected by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) as the Prime Designer for Penn Station Access, the largest expansion of Metro-North's regional railroad system in its history. Jacobs will design the expansion and support construction, which will be led by the Halmar International/Railworks Joint Venture (JV).

Jacobs today announced that Steve Arnette has been named EVP and President, Critical Mission Solutions (CMS), effective April 1, 2022. He succeeds Dawne Hickton who transitions out of Jacobs. Arnette will report to Bob Pragada, Jacobs President and Chief Operating Officer.
