Jacobs sets its sights on future climate change-makers with the Butterfly Effect, its new Climate Change Education Program, designed to inspire and inform elementary and primary school students to make smart choices and positive impacts on climate change.

Jacobs has been ranked as the Top Global Environmental Consulting Firm and No. 2 overall in Engineering News-Record's annual survey of the Top 200 Environmental Firms. The company reported $4.6 billion in environmental consulting engineering revenue for 2020, encompassing the categories of clean energy, air quality, environmental management, water supply and treatment, environmental science, wastewater treatment, hazardous waste and nuclear waste.

Jacobs was awarded a contract by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) to provide mission-driven and data-centric solutions in support of Geospatial-intelligence Enterprise OpenDataStore (GEODS) services. The single-award indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract value is estimated at $302 million across a seven-year ordering period.

Jacobs was awarded a two-year contract from the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy for project management of a wastewater laboratory that will screen and detect for COVID-19 and other infectious diseases.

Jacobs, together with the Environment Agency and contractor BAM Nuttall, celebrates the completion of the 20-year Broadland Flood Alleviation Project to improve 149 miles of flood defenses in the Broads National Park, a wetland area of international importance in eastern Norfolk, England.
