Jacobs has been appointed to Irish Water's Engineering Design Services Framework to provide technical support on its program of capital works to deliver improvements to water services throughout Ireland. The seven-year framework reinforces Jacobs' commitment to supporting Irish Water in upgrading Ireland's water services infrastructure.

In advance of the Climate Ambition Summit this Saturday, December 12, marking the fifth anniversary of the Paris Agreement, Jacobs (NYSE:J) has fulfilled its commitment to transition to 100% renewable energy for its operations in 2020 and achieved net-zero carbon emissions for its operations and business travel in 2020. These milestones and other key objectives were outlined earlier this year in Jacobs' first Climate Action Plan to help address the climate crisis.

Jacobs was selected by Honduras Próspera to assist in community planning services to advance economic development and help spur job creation for a new city on the island of Roatán in Central America. Jacobs, has partnered with PUB, Singapore's National Water Agency, in an R&D project to develop and trial a whole plant simulation model for the Changi Water Reclamation Plant (CWRP). The model, a digital twin of the plant, will be the first application of its kind and combines real-time data from supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) historian with software simulation packages (Replica™ Digital Twin Platform) to integrate process, hydraulics, controls and advanced data analytics into a single, whole plant simulation capable of replicating plant operations and predicting future performance in real-time. The trial is expected to be completed by December 2020 and this research is supported by the National Research Foundation Singapore and PUB.

Jacobs, in collaboration with global mental health professionals, has developed One Million Lives – a free mental health check-in tool to enhance users' understanding of their current state of mind and provide proactive strategies for personal mental health development. Since launching, the new tool has already been accessed by users to make more than 3,000 check-ins. By regularly completing a check-in, via the web-based app, users will ideally be better equipped to understand how they are currently coping, assess the early indicators of associated mental health challenges, start positive and active conversations and get support much earlier.

Jacobs was appointed by Pulau Indah Power Plant Sdn Bhd (PIPP) to deliver owner's engineer services for the development of a 1,200 megawatt (MW) Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) situated on Pulau Indah in Klang, Malaysia.

Jacobs and PA Consulting, a leading innovation and transformation consulting firm, announced today that they will form a strategic partnership in which Jacobs will acquire a 65% stake in PA. The investment places an enterprise value of PA at £1.825 billion ($2.4 billion). The remaining 35% stake will be held by PA employees, following the exit of existing majority stakeholder, The Carlyle Group.

Jacobs welcomes former Army Chief Information Officer (CIO) and recently retired Army Lieutenant General Bruce T. Crawford to the company's Critical Mission Solutions (CMS) line of business as Senior Vice President, Strategic Development. Jacobs announces it has acquired The Buffalo Group, a leader in advanced cyber and intelligence solutions, further strengthening Jacobs' leading portfolio of national priority mission-focused, government solutions in the cyber domain and the Intelligence Community (IC).
