Reflections from Rwanda: Building the Gatongati Bridge with Bridges to Prosperity
In June 2025, ten Jacobs teammates from across the globe came together in Rwanda to build a suspended trail bridge in the Nyanza District alongside the local community. Partnering with Bridges to Prosperity (B2P), this marked Jacobs’ 16th bridge build overall and the seventh in Rwanda. More than just a feat of resilient engineering, the Gatongati Bridge now provides safe, year-round access to education, healthcare, markets and essential services for more than 8,300 people.
