Meet Chitwan Saluja

Chitwan Saluja has always been curious. As a young child, she remembers asking lots of questions of friends, family and neighbors about how things work, what would happen if they did this instead of that and so forth. This hunt for knowledge was only bolstered by an expansive book collection, with everything from non-fiction and encyclopedias to comics galore.

These days, Chitwan, who leads digital delivery at Jacobs, has traded her ritualistic weekly comic book purchase for an insatiable passion for new technologies and developing ways to use them to solve our client’s toughest challenges.

“Our clients are dealing with disruption and rapidly changing technology in the built environment and I really enjoy collaborating with these clients and working with new technologies to figure out solutions for complex issues and deliver value.”

Digital Delivery Manager, Jacobs

Lucky for Chitwan, her current role includes the day-to-day use of technology on projects and spearheading the introduction of emerging technology into our practices. And, lucky for us, she's helping teams identify the best solutions, test the boundaries of the latest and greatest construction technologies and battle complacency in the construction industry every day.

She focuses on development, implementation and management of technology environments for the design, construction and operation of large facility programs, from clients such as Columbia University, NYC Department of Design and Construction, Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Northwell Health, Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Pittsburgh Airport and many others.

Chitwan was recognized by IFMA in its 2020 40 Under 40 and Engineering News-Record (ENR) in its 2020 Top Young Professionals class for the New York and New Jersey region, as well as its National Top 20 Under 40 Class of 2020 overall. She was also named as one of Consulting-Specifying Engineer’s 2019 Top 40 Under 40 award winners and the Women Builder’s Council’s 2019 Outstanding Women.

She earned her masters degree in architectural engineering from The Pennsylvania State University and bachelors in architecture from the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi. Chitwan is an International Associate of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and is LEED AP BD+C accredited.
