Dennis joined Jacobs in 2001 after graduating from university, focusing on membrane research. Over his career he’s been involved in a wide range of water projects, including strategic planning to detailed design of desalination plants. Most recently he’s been heavily involved in strategic planning to achieve water resilience at city scale in the face of variable climate and population growth.
Dennis challenges today and reinvents tomorrow by searching for adaptable and sustainable water services for the changing world.
He has over 20 years’ experience in the water industry with expertise in the design of desalination, drinking water and water recycling plants and strategic planning for water systems.
As Principal Process Engineer and Technical Director for Water Reuse, Dennis is helping deliver a more sustainable and resilient water future. He develops plans for water authorities on adaptive planning to service their growing cities under variable climate conditions. He says the plan is to ensure that all available options are considered and can be triggered as needed with changing circumstances.
Dennis is a member of Engineers Australia and holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and Bachelor of Environmental Engineering from University of New South Wales in Australia.
“We need a new approach to water security and resilience - we need more rainfall independent supply, and we need to act now.”
