He is recognized as a team builder, collaborator, vision caster and business leader with a specific focus on integrated thinking and a systems-based approach. He operates at the intersection of strategy, design, technology, sustainability and resilience on projects at every scale.

Monte’s diverse experience and passion allows him to engage with clients at a strategic level in the delivery of innovative solutions. His interest areas include city-scale sustainability and applying systems thinking to a range of urban projects including new towns, mixed-use development, transit-oriented development, revitalization studies, as well as university, research and corporate campus master plans.

In his current role as Global Solutions Director for Cities, Monte focuses on bringing our built environment clients the very best of Jacobs' talent and expertise to a range of complex and important strategy, planning and design projects shaping cities and places around the world. He also plays a leadership role on key accounts and in the pursuit and delivery of strategic projects. In addition to his role at Jacobs, Monte also serves on the Board of Directors for the Landscape Architecture Foundation, Chair of Governance Committee for the Urban Land Institute and the Board of Directors for L.E.A.D.

More locally, he has also worked on a variety of plans including the Fort McPherson Revitalization Vision Plan, the Buckhead Green Vision Study, the Atlanta Aerotropolis Blueprint and The Stitch Vision Master Plan.

“We believe sustainability is an integral part of our everyday approach to all design opportunities – not a bolt-on process. We apply a triple bottom line-based approach to ensure holistic and balanced outcomes. From integrated building solutions to campus and city scale resilience, we are able to leverage Jacobs deep design, engineering, technology, delivery, operations and analytics expertise, to guide our clients to the most appropriate solution.”
