Australian Defense Force Joint Health Command
The Joint Health Command (JHC) is responsible for the provision of healthcare and low acuity inpatient care services for the Australian Defense Force (ADF). In 2017, ADF announced plans to update facilities at 13 sites across south-east Australia, all of which were either no longer or only partially fit for service, or were approaching the end of their operational life. We partnered with JHC to upgrade facilities and improve health service delivery efficiency while still providing a restorative environment for employees. The resulting impact allowed nearly 85,000 ADF members to be prepared from a health perspective for operations.

EPA Great Lakes Environmental Cleanup and Remediation
We’re assisting the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)’s efforts to clean up and restore 22 of the 25 remaining Great Lakes Areas of Concern by 2030. This work streamlines and accelerates both Superfund and Great Lakes Legacy Act (GLLA) environmental cleanups and remediation oversight for the lakes and surrounding infrastructure, allowing communities to enjoy the natural resources for generations to come.

Hindan Air Station COVID-19 Supply Delivery
During COVID-19, our team at Hindan Air Station in Ghaziabad, India, worked around the clock to keep the C-17 aircraft site operational, allowing the Indian Air Force (IAF) Humanitarian Mission to focus on providing necessary medical supplies from around the world to people across India.

We’ve provided planning, design, construction management and environmental services to the National Park Service (NPS) for 52+ years and at more than 30 national parks, including Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Yosemite and Shenandoah National Parks, Bandelier National Monument and Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake
After two devastating earthquakes struck the Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake in July 2019, we’ve been working as the Navy’s trusted partner for design and field support for the China Lake Earthquake Recovery Program. Our team, along with the installation and Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command, has delivered more than 100 projects.

Fort Irwin Water Works
To save precious water in a drought-ridden region of the Mojave Desert, the U.S. Army engaged us to design, then own and operate, a new water treatment plant, the Irwin Water Works. The Zero Liquid Discharge water treatment plant allows nearly 20,000 soldiers, civilians and family members to have safe drinking water in the drought ridden terrain.

Tyndall Air Force Base Coastal Resilience
After Tyndall Air Force Base was hit with a Category 5 hurricane, resulting in damage to 100% of its assets, they embarked on a rebuilding program that focused on creating a resilient, sustainable and smart Installation of the Future leveraging a “system of systems” approach. Joining the emergency response effort, we pioneered Presidential award-winning coastal nature-based resilience solutions that reduce coastal flood risks and created important social and environmental benefits.

Mariner Skills Training Center
At Naval Station Norfolk, through a unique combination of project urgency, leadership commitment, and innovative acquisition methods for design and construction, we delivered a new Mariner Skills Training Center for Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Mid-Atlantic in less than four years– six years less than the average time needed to take a new facility from concept to completion.

US Army Corps of Engineers, Utah Data Center
As design partner in a design-build joint venture, we provided architecture and engineering design services for the $1.2 billion Utah Data Center. With innovative technology and energy efficiency features, the facility is designed and constructed to achieve LEED Silver certification. In addition, our team maximized the use of Building Information Modeling to facilitate collaboration and coordination of all project elements throughout design and construction.

Library of Congress
Partnering with the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), we served as contractual Construction Manager for the Energy Savings Performance Contract, delivering comprehensive energy and water savings for the Library and AOC facilities in Washington, D.C., Virginia and Maryland. Our efforts resulted in an estimated first-year annual savings of $4.06 million at the oldest federal cultural institution in the United States.

The Los Angeles Federal Courthouse
As the construction manager for the First Street United States Federal Courthouse in downtown Los Angeles, we helped the U.S. General Services Administration replace older buildings and consolidate functions from multiple locations. The LEED Platinum facility incorporates sustainable features including high efficiency building systems, water-efficient fixtures, green roofs, drought tolerant landscaping, an underground rainwater cistern, and roof mounted solar producing 525,000 kWh annually.

Luce Bassetti is a coastal and port specialist with more than 19 years of experience managing regional and international coastal projects. She started her career with Jacobs as a coastal modeler, working on projects in North and South America and across Europe, Asia, Australia and the Middle East. She later led Jacobs’ U.S. Coastal Resiliency Program before being appointed Americas Coastal Resilience Director, responsible for developing and driving the growth strategy for Jacobs’ coastal resilience market in the Americas.

Hollie Janson Schmidt is a Principal and the Global Solutions Director of Sustainability, Resilience & Climate Response for the Americas Region at Jacobs and is also the Director of the Sustainability, Resilience & Climate Response Business Advisory as a trusted business partner for the company’s internal project delivery and growth as well as external client services. In her 28 years of practice, Hollie has honed an integrated planning and delivery approach, with a particular focus on large-scale, complex projects. Hollie provides resilient solutions either as a preventative or recovery service for large-scale clients who are experiencing vulnerabilities to natural and man-made shocks and stressors.

Jake Washington, Federal Portfolio Director and Program Manager
Program Manager and retired Navy Captain Jake Washington, AIA, NCARB, F. SAME, brings a wealth of leadership and more than 35 years of facilities and utilities engineering experience to his role at Jacobs. During his 28 years with Navy Surface Warfare and the Navy Civil Engineer Corps, he held senior leadership positions in command, program management, design and construction management and engineering operations, including executive positions at the local, regional, national and global levels.

Using his mechanical engineering background, Project Manager and Senior Technologist Dan Robillard delivers water projects with an eye toward community impact. Whether designing wastewater technology or delivering a treatment plant, Dan enjoys making positive waves wherever he goes. After enlisting in the United States Air Force for three years, Dan Robillard attended and received his mechanical engineering degree from University of California - Davis and later landed at Jacobs in 2001. Two decades later, he’s still using his 23 years of water experience to work with federal clients like the National Park Service (NPS), delivering critical wastewater projects across the country.

Sharon Minchak serves as Jacobs’ Global Solutions Director for Remediation & Regeneration. She is a licensed Professional Geologist with a bachelor's in geosciences from The Pennsylvania State University and a master's in earth and planetary Sciences from the University of New Mexico. Sharon has 30+ years of global experience serving a diverse set of government and private sector clients, working across all aspects of the Environmental market from planning and permitting, to regulatory compliance and sustainability, to investigation, remediation and regeneration.

Mónica Quiñones, Project Management Principal
Project Management Principal Mónica Quiñones never backs down from an opportunity. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and later her master’s in water resources and environmental engineering, she began working on municipal water projects. Since starting her career, Mónica has moved to multiple locales throughout the United States, holding various positions serving our federal and municipal clients during her 18-year tenure at Jacobs. Currently, she is working with the Department of Defense (DoD) Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) and serving as Deputy Program Director for the National Parks Service (NPS).

Lauren Terry, Federal Small Business Liaison Officer and Program Manager
Federal Small Business Liaison Officer and Program Manager Lauren Terry joined Jacobs in 2008 as a contractor in procurement and subcontracts for our federal team, which sparked her drive to work with small businesses. In her role today, she works on various tasks, such as proposals, outreach to small businesses, reporting on government regulations and educating our teams on the importance of working with these critical partners. The program works with multiple clients across markets, including the National Park Service (NPS), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Department of Defense (DoD), providing a wide range of services from remediation to construction.

Anselmo Testa is a national design principal specializing in planning, design and execution of critical infrastructure for private and public U.S. Department of Defense and National Security agencies. Notably, he has led the design for several Command Training Centers, Mission Training Complexes and Information Systems Facilities at military bases across the world.
