The Water Sector and Hydrogen: Green for Go
For a long time, the transition from a carbon-based economy to a hydrogen economy has been promoted as a route to critically address the climate emergency. Hydrogen is being rapidly elevated up the global agenda, with nations publishing strategies for delivering low-carbon hydrogen.
Against this exciting backdrop, this “In the kNOW” webinar examines hydrogen from the perspective of the water sector as a potential producer and user of hydrogen. We identify pathways for hydrogen production at Water Resource Recovery Facilities, highlighting synergies and trade-offs with day-to-day treatment, and explore hydrogen’s possible contribution to the water sector’s Net Zero carbon emissions targets.
