Magnox is a Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) subsidiary that is instrumental in helping the NDA to achieve its mission of increasing taxpayer value, enhancing performance and outcome delivery and improving organizational health and culture.
To help prepare Magnox to launch a business-wide transformation program to enable the new asset information strategy and digital agenda, Magnox needed to update its Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) with a unified and simplified Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS).
The NDA, Jacobs and PA Consulting and now KPMG’s cross-industry industrial transformation experts are working with the Magnox IT team and executive team to scope out the basis for the new system. A 'go see & assess’ approach was used to determine the baseline for the business. This is leading to a deeper focus on work management (both people- and process-based) and the use of data insights to discover which EAMS would provide the best fit for purpose. This embedded vital knowledge within the senior leadership of the requirements, elements and scalable approach needed to achieve success and built the foundations for a repeatable assessment strategy for onboarding data and systems to support future suppliers.
The greatest result of the Magnox EAMS Transformation is that the company is now in the right position to successfully launch its tailored business transformation program and elevate its performance within the OneNDA vision.
