This Earth Day we’re launching our brand-new Climate Action Plan, two years after the release of our first plan. We’ve made significant progress in helping to preserve the planet for future generations by meeting our initial climate action goals, achieving carbon neutrality and adopting 100% low-carbon electricity.
Today, we’re launching ambitious new climate commitments to help elevate our climate response. We will:
- Ensure every project becomes a climate response opportunity.
- Achieve Net-Zero greenhouse gas emissions across the value chain by 2040.
- Maintain carbon neutrality status and 100% low-carbon electricity for our operations.
Recognizing international progress in our understanding on the effects of climate change, the government endorsements of the Glasgow Climate Pact and new pledges, and our own company progress in accelerating climate response – the time was right to update our Climate Action Plan.
Excitingly, we are the first consultancy organization, and one of the world’s first companies, to have our new commitments approved by the Science Based Targets initiative.
To learn more about our climate commitments and achievements, take a look at our new Climate Action Plan and press release.
What is Earth Day?
Earth Day is an annual event celebrated around the world to demonstrate support for environmental protection. These year's theme is Invest In Our Planet. Earth Day provides an opportunity to reflect on steps taken to date to address the climate emergency, and to plan for future action on how we can make the world a better place.
We know that business plays a vital role in helping achieve a prosperous and sustainable future, and we’re proud to be part of the global movement of leading companies taking climate action in our operations and working with our clients and partners to build healthy cities, countries, and economies.
