Did you know that recently, Jacobs participated in the Hiring Our Heroes fellowship program for transitioning military and military spouses?
The Hiring Our Heroes program is sponsored by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and allows veterans, current transitioning military members and military spouses to connect with companies for meaningful employment opportunities. The program ranges from six-to-twelve -weeks and prepares candidates for a smooth transition to civilian employment.
The Jacobs Missile Defense Group (JMDG) invited two Hiring Our Heroes candidates, both transitioning military, to work on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Schriever Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
The two fellows began work in the project management and financial analysis areas on January 20, 2020. On April 3, they both graduated the program with offers for permanent full-time employment with JMDG to continue the critical work they were doing on the IRES contract. JMDG continues to support this program and anticipates greater participation for upcoming cohorts.
