Did you hear? The inaugural Rainbow Honours Awards in the U.K. celebrated Prism, our employee network for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex people and their allies (LGBTI+) with the ‘New Network Group of the Year’ Award!
Led by volunteers from across our company, the Prism Network is helping to develop Jacobs’ culture to make us the employer of choice and a place where everyone can bring their whole selves to work. Members of Prism work to educate the Jacobs family about topics ranging from pronouns to Bi & Trans visibility to LGBTI+ history, while advocating for and elevating members of the LGBTI+ community.
The Rainbow Honours Awards, organized by Diva Magazine, celebrate the people, organizations and charities who support and champion the LGBTI+ community every day. Jacobs was nominated for the ‘New Network Group of the Year’ Award by the Chair of Pride in London, and shortlisted in the category alongside organizations including Legal & General and The Football Association.
This has been the biggest year to date for the Prism network, with Jacobs participating in more Pride marches than ever and holding Pride events in offices worldwide. The launch event for the London chapter of Prism earlier this year was attended by 120 people from across Jacobs and the industry, with a performance from Drag Queen Poppycock and raising money for the charity ‘It Gets Better’.
