Meet Brian Kissoon

meet Brian Kissoon

Brian started his airport career in Toronto, where he participated in an operational readiness and airport transition (ORAT) program. He then worked on international concourse projects in Dubai and Mumbai, India. After his project in Mumbai finished, he took two years off from work to learn to be a husband and dad before moving back to Canada and sponsoring his family to immigrate there.

After his break, he found he missed the airport industry – so he jumped at the chance to join Jacobs in 2019 to provide guidance to Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) in their ORAT trial development.

A leader with extensive experience and success in multi-billion-dollar transportation projects worldwide, he has considerable expertise in the design, development and delivery of terminal operations readiness plans for the launch of airport projects. Brian relishes opportunities to meet with stakeholders and understand what their goals are.

At Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), Brian has been responsible for scope development and management of ORAT projects or work streams covering operational planning, operational readiness, activation, trials and transition.

Outside of the terminal, Brian’s family is everything to him and always takes precedence over his work life. He enjoys spending time with his wife – whom he met during his time in Mumbai – and their five adopted family members (two kids and three four-legged furry “children”).

“The biggest win is on opening day and seeing the satisfaction from all stakeholders who took part in a successful event, knowing that you had something to do with it.”
