Jeff Ely is a highly experienced professional civil engineer with 35 years of diversified experience in the design, technical management, and project management of a wide variety of civil engineering projects.
His expertise lies particularly in port infrastructure planning, design, and construction, as well as the structural design of bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and other structures related to the construction of expressways, urban arterials, and rural roads.
Jeff’s representative projects includes serving as the Structures Lead for several TxDOT bridge repair, rehabilitation, or reconstruction efforts, as well as managing teams at Port of Houston in wharf rehabilitation and repair assessments and design projects. He led the comprehensive restoration program for Port of Gulfport following Hurricane Katrina, which included land reclamation, container terminal design, wharf retrofit, port access facilities, and equipment procurement.
