Meet Mike Loehr

Mike Loehr, who currently serves as Jacobs’ Global Principal for Track & Civils, is a recognized expert in the railroad industry and enjoys solving problems and using lessons learned to support improvements to industry standards. 

Mike’s experience spans many multi-discipline projects that include land development, site design, track design, station design and planning studies for a wide range of public and private clients.

Mike has more than 45 years of extensive engineering design and construction expertise on a wide variety of projects in the railroad industry, including ten years with Consolidated Rail Corporation (Conrail) and over 35 years of consulting. He served as the Project Manager and Lead Rail engineer for Norfolk Southern’s Heartland Corridor Project, a public-private-partnership project between Norfolk Southern and U.S. Department of Transportation, which won American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA)’s W. W. Hay Award for Excellence and an international Brunel Award Commendation.
